IS IT WRONG TO GO TO COLLEGE TO GET AN EDUCATION THAT WILL GET A BETTER JOB?

God created an Eden in 6000 years & put His son & wife TO RULE OVER IT.

Satan has had 6000 years to pervert it. Through Science, Education & so-called INTELLIGENCE, Satan brought us DEATH.

       Dr Reidhed told me he had enough degrees to plaster my wall, but he NEVER found Christ in them.  

       Having degrees is all right; I wish I had them, PLUS WHAT I HAVE. Having them BOTH is fine.

But I’d NEVER GIVE UP what I have to get those degrees! NEVER.

       There’s nothing against having an education, but if it’s CONTRARY to God’s Word, STAY WITH THE WORD & LET YOUR EDUCATION GO!

       The only way you’ll know God, is by His Word.  HIS WORD IS LIFE

AND TO KNOW HIM IS LIFE!

       Education will help you earn a better living, but one day YOU’LL DIE & you’ll give an account on your understanding of His Word.  

       God won’t care about your EDUCATION!

W M B ~ And I think it would be a good exhortation today, if we said to our sons and to the sons of God, that, IT’S ALL RIGHT TO HAVE AN EDUCATION, there is NOTHING AGAINST THAT; 

BUT WHEN THAT EDUCATION IS CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD, THEN LEAN TO THE WORD AND LET YOUR EDUCATION GO, see, because, the Word. 

And education will stand and will give you a good job, probably a good standing amongst intellectual people, but, that’s all right, which will probably be a great help to you, help you in your financial and your—your livelihood, make living maybe a little better for you.

But REMEMBER ONE THING, MY SON, YOU’VE GOT TO DIE. 

No matter how much education you got, how much culture you are able to accumulate, you’ve yet got to face death, because it is written, that, “Men must die, and AFTER THAT THE JUDGMENT.” 

And God, when…Death is not so bad, but coming to JUDGMENT IS THE BAD PART.

Now, you can die, “but after that the Judgment.” 

And God is NOT going to inquire of you how much schooling you got when you were here on earth, how much knowledge you accumulated, whether you’ve got your Bachelor of Art, or whatever degree you might have been, even as a minister. It’s NOT going to be required of you.

But it’s going to be required of you, WHAT YOU DID ABOUT THE UNDERSTANDING OF GOD’S WORD. That’s where the requirement comes, because that your education is fine, but THE WORD OF GOD IS LIFE. 

“My Word is Life,” and to know It is Life. And He—He said, “KNOW HIM.” HE IS THE WORD. 

So YOU CAN ONLY KNOW HIM BY THE WORD, for HE IS THE WORD. That’s the only way you’ll know Him, is by His Word.

W M B ~  God, it taken You six thousand years, according to the Bible, TO BUILD AN EDEN. And You put Your son and his wife in there (his bride), TO RULE OVER IT. 

And SATAN come around and perverted it; he’s got six thousand years, and he’s BUILT HIS OWN INTELLECTUAL EDEN THROUGH SCIENCE, AND EDUCATION, and so-called INTELLIGENCE, and he’s built it into A MESS OF DEATH.

O God, TAKE US BACK TO EDEN AGAIN, Lord, where there’s no death, where there’s no sorrow. Grant it, Lord.

W M B ~  It reminds me of the mother and father, or foster father, Joseph, and Mary, the virgin. 

When they had went up to the Pentecostal feast at Jerusalem, they took their precious Son, the Lord Jesus. 

And I guess they got so took up among the people, talking and doing different things that—the regular routines, till they went three day’s journey BEFORE THEY EVER MISSED HIM. 

I think the church has got caught up in that kind of a condition too. More than a three day’s journey, it’s got about two thousand year’s journey, and now in the HOUR OF CRISIS, you begin to wonder, “WHERE’s HE AT?”

You know what they did? Just what the church is doing: went back to look for Him AMONG THEIR KINDRED. 

Their kindred come off the same way they did. YOU DON’T FIND HIM AMONG YOUR KINFOLKS. You don’t find Him there. 

They went among all their kin, looking around, asking for Him. They COULDN’T find Him.

In this hour of crisis when communism is taking the world, when Russia, with their—all their free literature, is just having a revival that’s sweeping the earth with communism.

Then we wonder where is that great God of—of—of heaven? 

Where is the Jehovah of history? 

Where is that God that opened the Red Sea? 

Where is that God could tell Nathanael, “I saw you when you were under the tree”? 

Where is the God that could open the blinded eyes? 

Where is the God that could speak and the earth would tremble? 

Where is that God?

You’ll NEVER find Him among your kinfolks. We go back to the Methodists, the Methodists to the Baptists, the Baptists to the Presbyterian, to the Lutheran, to the Catholic, and all around; we still don’t find Him. 

Go to the Baptist church; that’s my church and where I was ordained in, you don’t find Him. You find fine people. 

But WHERE IS CHRIST?

Like Doctor Reidhead said to me, “Brother Branham, when I got my DEGREE, BACHELOR’s DEGREE, BACHELOR OF ARTS, I thought I’d find Christ, but He wasn’t there. When I got my Ph.D., I thought He’d be there. He wasn’t there.” 

Said, “I’ve got enough degrees I could plaster your wall. And now where is He at?”

I said, “HE’S NOT IN THOSE DEGREES.” Hallelujah. That’s right. 

THEY’RE ALL RIGHT; I WISHED I HAD THEM. I—IF I HAD THEM PLUS WHAT I GOT, all right. 

But if I have to give what I got to get them, NO INDEED; I will take what I got. Yes, sir. 

IF I COULD HAVE THEM BOTH, ALL RIGHT. But if I have to sacrifice that to have this, LET ME HAVE THIS.

W M B ~ Not long ago in Africa when I seen the people when they taken the native and brought him in out of his natural tribe, GIVE HIM A LITTLE EDUCATION, HE BECOME VERY HARD FELLOW TO GET ALONG WITH.

Brought the sins of his tribe, plus what the white man had, and he was a THREEFOLD WORSE CHILD OF THE DEVIL THAN HE WAS TO BEGIN WITH. 

Sometimes they even have to keep them out of their compounds after it gets along three, four o’clock in the afternoon, they’d kill you.

But they’re not that way in the tribe. You know what I think they need? 

They don’t need education; they need Jesus Christ. That’s what. You bring them in, teach them reading, writing, and arithmetic, they’re better off in their primitive condition.
