SHOULD SINGLE BELIEVERS STAY OUT LATE INTO THE NIGHT WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS?

Evil always prowls at night.  THAT’S WHEN DEVILS PROWL.  

       They say LIFE begins after MIDNIGHT, BUT DEATH BEGINS when the sun goes down!

       You’re NOT of the darkness. You’re of the LIGHT. WALK IN THE LIGHT!

       People become NIGHT PROWLERS & take on THE NATURE OF EVIL.  EVIL STARTS when the sun goes down.

       But the Word of God is a Light that EXPOSES darkness.  That’s why they run away from the Word. 

       You say you’re Christians & permit such stuff as your daughter going out all night with boys?

       THAT’S NOT RIGHT!  

Wait up for her, put your arms around her, & say, you’ve probably been up to nothing good, so let’s kneel down & pray & offer the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO GOD, & GIVE HIM THANKS.

       If there were more fathers like Job, you’d have different children. 

       But you’re so UNCONCERNED that you’ll allow your kids to run around all night & come home whenever they please.  

       I LIKE THOSE OLD FASHION MOTHERS. If a girl stayed out all night & walked in the next morning, like some of you, she’d blister you with a stick.

W M B ~  Oh, if we had more fathers and mothers tonight so interested in their children, that would offer the shed Blood of the Lamb for their child every night at the throne of grace, we wouldn’t have so much carrying on as we have amongst young folks.

Mothers, you know, it’s a shame today, and fathers, to how uninterested we are in children, and the little juveniles. 

You let the kids go out, and just do as they please, running out all night long, and everything, and come in, and seem to be so unconcerned about it. 

Let your girls go out with boys that smoke and drink, and go to gambling devices, and dance all night, and come in. 

Then you say you’re Christians and permit such stuff as that? THAT’S NOT RIGHT. We should TAKE THEM TO THE LORD.

BE WAITING UP FOR HER to come in, put your arms around her, and say, “Now, sweetheart, come here, let’s kneel down and pray. 

Mother don’t know just where you’ve been, trusting that you’ve been a good girl tonight, but PERADVENTURE THAT YOU HAVEN’T, let’s offer the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE to God, and GIVE HIM THANKS.”

I tell you: Youd have different children today, if they did that, we had more fathers like Job. See? 

The trouble of it is, mothers today go with daughters out in such places. And some of them belong to churches too. 

That’s just a little bit hard, but you know that’s what does you good. When it gets a little strong and stingy like, you know, it—IT’S GOOD FOR YOU.

Then when He went to take a little rest, HIS ENEMY SLIPPED IN WITH DECEIT, and took it over, by MISINTERPRETING HIS PROGRAM to His children.

When, HE PUT TRUST IN HIS OWN CHILD; AS YOU PUT TRUST IN YOUR DAUGHTER when she goes out AT NIGHT WITH A MAN; when you put trust in your son when HE HAS TO GO WITH A DRINKING BOY or a smoking boy. 

See, He put trust in His son, that he would not do anything wrong, and would keep every Word that He said. BUT THE ENEMY SLIPPED IN; like that greasy slicker that would TAKE OUT YOUR DAUGHTER AND MISBEHAVE HIMSELF; or—or some woman would take, go out with your son, and the same thing. 

See, he slipped in. The enemy of God slipped in and misinterpreted the Word to Eve.

After you come and eat, like the church, you set on the bench and hear the Word. 

“Faith cometh by hearing, hearing of the Word.” Then after you have eaten the Word, then you come into the living room, which is into fellowship with the rest of the church. 

Then after that, the secret place is the bedroom, where you go in and kneel down, where you a bunch of you mammys used to, a long time ago, go in there and pray for your children when they was out at night. 

That’s what’s the matter with the world today, instead of them OLD FASHION MAMMYS back yonder a long time ago, that PRAYED FOR THEIR KIDDIES and things, they’re out with their kiddies tonight smoking, drinking, carrying on like they are. 

That’s the reason we got JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. They talk that we’re more civilized than they were. I doubt it. Uh-huh. Then WE SURE DON’T ACT LIKE IT. That’s one thing true. 

I LIKE THAT OLD FASHION TYPE.

Why, let me tell you, brother, they talk about the illiteracy of Kentucky. 

I preached up in them old mountains there, when they was standing on the hillside, and those old mammys out there, them big, old, long bonnets on. 

And the women around, said, make fun of them, say, “Look at them. Don’t they look like old models or something like that?”

Let me tell you something. YOU let one of their girls go out and stay all night, come in the next morning, the way some of yours does, brother, I mean there’d be a difference in that family. 

Yes, they sure would. She’d about blister her all over that hillside with a tobacco stick or something. You know that’s the truth, and then you call her illiterate.

WHERE THERE IS BUDWEISER, IT IS DEATH.

And we see signs like this, too, “Life begins when the sun goes down.” NO. DEATH BEGINS WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN. 

The people become night prowlers. They prowl at night. And if you notice, they take the nature of the evil. Evil always prowls at night.

And I read an article in a magazine, one time when I was on an airplane. It was about Hollywood. 

And it said, that, “Life begins after midnight. You should come down on certain streets and certain things.” And it had the picture of burlesque, and so forth, that goes on.

And I said, “How perverted that is!”

You see, if Satan has a kingdom, he’s got to have a false economy. He’s got to have something that he can present to them, to make them think they are living. 

But it’s absolutely on the vice versa side. It’s death, in the form of life. See? It’s a perversion from real life.

Because, let us settle this in our mind now, once and forever. There’s only one way to have life. That’s right. “And to know Him is Life.” 

That’s the only way that we can have Life, and no other way, for God has only promised Life through Jesus Christ. 

And the great Jehovah, without beginning or without ending, without—without beginning of days or ending of years, has give us Life through Jesus Christ, and Him alone.

W M B ~ The doctors take instruments and try to find what’s wrong. They can’t do it. We can’t tell. 

But then the Holy Spirit comes out and reveals what he is, and exposes him. See? 

That’s what the Word of God is. It is a Light that shines in darkness.

And when you take a noise in the room, it sounds mysterious; a bunch of something working, and you don’t know what it is. 

Turn on the light, quickly…Crickets, ROACHES, they’re—they are CHILDREN OF THE DARKNESS. And when the light flashes, they scatter away.

“They went out from us because they wasn’t of us,” the Bible said. See? 

THEY CANNOT LIVE IN THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD …For, the God of Heaven has sent His Light in this last days, that He might lighten the path for His children, that they might not walk in darkness and stumble, but they might walk in the Light of the shining of Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. If they can ever take the Name of Jesus away from the church, and get you away; you’ll go out and blaspheme It and make fun of It, and everything else, and try to come in and pray in It. 

You can’t do that. Got to keep It sacred! That’s right.

“Oh, take the Name of Jesus with you, child of sorrow and of woe. When temptations around you gather, breathe that holy Name in prayer.” 

Devils will scatter, like roaches on a floor when the light’s turned on. Truly.

Here they are. My! He said, “Bring them out there.”

 And he took this judgment rod, and he smote the Rock. And when he hit the Rock, there was a cleft in the side of the Rock.

And that Rock was Christ Jesus. Thanks be to God! It’s God’s judgment for you and I, a wicked sinner, worthy of death, worthy of separation. 

God’s judgment was, “The day you eat thereof, that day you die.” 

And His judgment smote Him on Calvary, and there He hung, bleeding, bleating, dying.

Let the sun rise or let a light flash on, watch how they take for darkness. 

That’s the way the Gospel is. When it flashes on, what happens to those who wants to call you holy-roller? 

What happens to those people who make fun of you? 

When the Light flashes on, THEY SHOOT FOR DARKNESS as hard as they can go, because they—they’re the children of the night.

W M B ~ Now, Andrew got to testifying. The first thing you know, the boat got to rocking again. But they come to find out, this time, you know, THE SUN HAD WENT DOWN.

You know, and when the sun goes down, it’s time that evil starts, somehow. 

I was reading an article in, I believe it was, Life magazine or something, not long ago. 

And some movie star made a remark like this, 

“Night was made to live in. Life begins when the sun goes down.” 

DEATH BEGINS WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN. That’s when devils prowl. 

Watch the lizards, snakes, scorpions, roaches, everything else. They got to get in the DARK. It’s in the DARKNESS.

You’re not of the darkness. You’re of the Light. “Walk in the light.”

It reminds me, you can take an old apple core, lay it on the floor. It won’t be NOTHING BOTHER IT IN THE DAYTIME. Let it get night, and THEN THE ROACHES, everything around the place, will CRAWL TO IT. 

And then if you want to see them scatter, just turn on the light. They sure scatter.

That reminds me, like preaching the Gospel. Just turn on the Light. It don’t take it very long till EVIL GOES TO SCATTERING. 

The church needs a good revival, a real good Holy Spirit, God-sent revival.
