Look at Jesus. Talk about us humbling ourselves? When God Himself became a Baby, instead of coming in a—a little crib somewhere in a decent home was born out there over a manure pile in a stable, amongst bawling calves. They wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, was off the neck of a yoke of an ox. The poorest of the poorest, and, yet, the Creator of heavens and earth.

One cold, rainy night, they said, “Master, we’ll go home with You.”
He said, “The foxes have holes, and the birds have nests, but I don’t even have a place to lay My head.”
God, Jehovah, humbled Himself and become a Man; represented in sinful flesh, to redeem you and me. Who are we then? He was our example. Who am I? Nothing.

135 We haven’t got the humility. We don’t want to, and people don’t. You go sometime to a really well-dressed people in the church, they—they’ll come in; and if you’re not dressed just right, they’ll look at you and talk, you know. And it makes it…They shouldn’t do that and professing Christianity.

I—I—I think it’s just a profession and not a possession. Because I believe that a—a real old-time experience with God will make a tuxedo coat put his arms around a pair of overalls, and say, “brother.” I—I really believe it. It’s true. A calico dress with a silk one will call, “sister.” Yes, sir. Because it isn’t the clothes, it isn’t the person. It’s Christ, what’s on the inside, and we should humble ourselves.
