1.1 Corinthians 14:27-28

यदि अन्य भाषा में बातें करनीं हों, तो दो दो, या बहुत हो तो तीन तीन जन बारी बारी बोलें, और एक व्यक्ति अनुवाद करे।

If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

परन्तु यदि अनुवाद करने वाला न हो, तो अन्य भाषा बालने वाला कलीसिया में शान्त रहे, और अपने मन से, और परमेश्वर से बातें करे।

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

2. Acts 2:4

और वे सब पवित्र आत्मा से भर गए, और जिस प्रकार आत्मा ने उन्हें बोलने की सामर्थ दी, वे अन्य अन्य भाषा बोलने लगे॥

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

3.Mark 16:17

और विश्वास करने वालों में ये चिन्ह होंगे कि वे मेरे नाम से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालेंगे।

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

4.Acts 19:6

Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

6. 1 Corinthians 14:22

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

7.Acts 10:46

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

9.Acts 19:6

सो हे भाइयों, भविष्यद्वाणी करने की धुन में रहो और अन्य भाषा बोलने से मना न करो।

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

11.1Cor 14:22-25

इसलिये अन्य अन्य भाषाएं विश्वासियों के लिये नहीं, परन्तु अविश्वासियों के लिये चिन्ह हैं, और भविष्यद्वाणी अविश्वासीयों के लिये नहीं परन्तु विश्वासियों के लिये चिन्ह हैं।

सो यदि कलीसिया एक जगह इकट्ठी हो, और सब के सब अन्य अन्य भाषा बोलें, और अनपढ़े या अविश्वासी लोग भीतर आ जाएं तो क्या वे तुम्हें पागल न कहेंगे?

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

परन्तु यदि सब भविष्यद्वाणी करने लगें, और कोई अविश्वासी या अनपढ़ा मनुष्य भीतर आ जाए, तो सब उसे दोषी ठहरा देंगे और परखलेंगे।

But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

और उसके मन के भेद प्रगट हो जाएंगे, और तब वह मुंह के बल गिरकर परमेश्वर को दण्डवत करेगा, और मान लेगा, कि सचमुच परमेश्वर तुम्हारे बीच में है।

And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

12.Ephesians 5:18

और दाखरस से मतवाले न बनो, क्योंकि इस से लुचपन होता है, पर आत्मा से परिपूर्ण होते जाओ।

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

13. John 16:13-15

परन्तु जब वह अर्थात सत्य का आत्मा आएगा, तो तुम्हें सब सत्य का मार्ग बताएगा, क्योंकि वह अपनी ओर से न कहेगा, परन्तु जो कुछ सुनेगा, वही कहेगा, और आनेवाली बातें तुम्हें बताएगा।

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

वह मेरी महिमा करेगा, क्योंकि वह मेरी बातों में से लेकर तुम्हें बताएगा।

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

14.Galatians 4:6

और तुम जो पुत्र हो, इसलिये परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र के आत्मा को, जो हे अब्बा, हे पिता कह कर पुकारता है, हमारे हृदय में भेजा है।

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

15. Zechariah 12:10

और मैं दाऊद के घराने और यरूशलेम के निवासियों पर अपना अनुग्रह करने वाली और प्रार्थना सिखाने वाली आत्मा उण्डेलूंगा, तब वे मुझे ताकेंगे अर्थात जिसे उन्होंने बेधा है, और उसके लिये ऐसे रोएंगे जैसे एकलौते पुत्र के लिये रोते-पीटते हैं, और ऐसा भारी शोक करेंगे, जैसा पहिलौठे के लिये करते हैं।

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

16. Luke 10:21

उसी घड़ी वह पवित्र आत्मा में होकर आनन्द से भर गया, और कहा; हे पिता, स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के प्रभु, मैं तेरा धन्यवाद करता हूं, कि तू ने इन बातों को ज्ञानियों और समझदारों से छिपा रखा, और बालकों पर प्रगट किया: हां, हे पिता, क्योंकि तुझे यही अच्छा लगा।

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

17.Acts 10:44-46

पतरस ये बातें कह ही रहा था, कि पवित्र आत्मा वचन के सब सुनने वालों पर उतर आया।

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

और जितने खतना किए हुए विश्वासी पतरस के साथ आए थे, वे सब चकित हुए कि अन्यजातियों पर भी पवित्र आत्मा का दान उंडेला गया है।

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

क्योंकि उन्होंने उन्हें भांति भांति की भाषा बोलते और परमेश्वर की बड़ाई करते सुना।

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

18. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-5

हम अपनी प्रार्थनाओं में तुम्हें स्मरण करते और सदा तुम सब के विषय में परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करते हैं।

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

और अपने परमेश्वर और पिता के साम्हने तुम्हारे विश्वास के काम, और प्रेम का परिश्रम, और हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह में आशा की धीरता को लगातार स्मरण करते हैं।

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

और हे भाइयो, परमेश्वर के प्रिय लोगों हम जानतें हैं, कि तुम चुने हुए हो।

Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

क्योंकि हमारा सुसमाचार तुम्हारे पास न केवल वचन मात्र ही में वरन सामर्थ और पवित्र आत्मा, और बड़े निश्चय के साथ पहुंचा है; जैसा तुम जानते हो, कि हम तुम्हारे लिये तुम में कैसे बन गए थे।

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

19. Romans 15:30-32

और हे भाइयों; मैं यीशु मसीह का जो हमारा प्रभु है और पवित्र आत्मा के प्रेम का स्मरण दिला कर, तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि मेरे लिये परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने में मेरे साथ मिलकर लौलीन रहो।

Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

कि मैं यहूदिया के अविश्वासियों बचा रहूं, और मेरी वह सेवा जो यरूशलेम के लिये है, पवित्र लोगों को भाए।

That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

और मैं परमेश्वर की इच्छा से तुम्हारे पास आनन्द के साथ आकर तुम्हारे साथ विश्राम पाऊं।

That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

20.Acts 8:14-17

जब प्रेरितों ने जो यरूशलेम में थे सुना कि सामरियों ने परमेश्वर का वचन मान लिया है तो पतरस और यूहन्ना को उन के पास भेजा।

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

और उन्होंने जाकर उन के लिये प्रार्थना की कि पवित्र आत्मा पाएं।

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

क्योंकि वह अब तक उन में से किसी पर न उतरा था, उन्होंने तो केवल प्रभु यीशु में नाम में बपतिस्मा लिया था।

(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

तब उन्हों ने उन पर हाथ रखे और उन्होंने पवित्र आत्मा पाया।

Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

21. Luke 11:13

सो जब तुम बुरे होकर अपने लड़के-बालों को अच्छी वस्तुएं देना जानते हो, तो स्वर्गीय पिता अपने मांगने वालों को पवित्र आत्मा क्यों न देगा॥

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
